    SAN FRANCISCO, May 2--NBC Internet (NBCI) , an Internet company connecting buyers to sellers through premier portal, entertainment and e-commerce services, announced it has acquired Husdawg Communications, a leader in electronic registration and customer relationship management services for the computer software and hardware industry. NBCi is merging Husdawg Communications with NBCi Direct, the company's e-list management and database marketing division specializing in direct marketing via the Internet with its email lists featuring over 9 million customers who have given their permission to accept targeted e-commerce offers.

    NEW YORK, May 2--BMC Software (BMCS) said it bought Internet management provider Evity Inc. in a deal valued at about $100 million to further its plans to deliver service-level management technology to businesses. Evity's flagstaff product is SiteAngel 2000, a Web site management service that lets users monitor the performance of their transactions through the sites and measure performance.

    Chairman Max Watson said in a phone interview the software vendor would take a charge in the current fiscal first quarter for the acquisition, which was paid for with 90% stock and 10% cash. He did not disclose the exact amount of the charge.

    PITTSBURGH, May 2--Black Box Corporation (BBOX) announced a merger with Teldata Corporation. Established in 1970 in Nashville, Tennessee, privately held Teldata provides technical design, installation and maintenance services for telephony, premise cabling and related products to customers throughout the United States. Commenting on the merger, Fred C. Young, Chief Executive Officer of Black Box Corporation, stated, "Combining our collective technical strengths will provide our customers with industry leading support services." The purchase price has not been disclosed.

    HONG KONG, May 2--Creative Master International (CMST) announces signing of definitive agreement to acquire PacificNet.com LLC, an internet start-up company headquartered in Minneapolis and Hong Kong that focuses on trans-Pacific B2B e-commerce. The principal change is to increase the number of shares of Creative Master common stock to be issued to the owners of PacificNet from 21.0 to 21.5 million shares, or approximately 80% of the common stock of the Company expected to be outstanding as of completion of the acquisition.
